Geneology, I am doing it.
I've been working on our family history lately. I just discovered that Marie and I are 9th cousins. We are both 9th great-grandchildren of Elizabeth Leids. Also, Walt Disney is my fifth cousin once removed. Maybe they'll give me a discount at disneyland.

We Will Become Silhouettes
This is a video of a great "Family Home Evening" taking place in the 70's (to great music). Things to watch for:
Canning food.
Talent show.
Mom sewing matching outfits (and teaching the daughter).
Dehydrated food.
Family bike ride.
Loving looks from parents.
(My personal favorite)Annoyed looks from son.
Song by The Postal Service with Ben Gibbard (of Deathcab for Cutie) and Jenny Lewis (of Rilo Kiley and "Troop Beverly Hills").

Glue the Moon?
Tonight on the way home from Grandma and Grandpas house Isabelle looked out of the window and informed us that the Moon was broken and we needed to fix it. The moon right now is a half moon. So we asked her how we should fix it and she said we should get in a rocket ship and take some glue with us to glue it back together. Isabelle is so much fun!

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Last night I was reading to Will the book "Would You Rather Be a Bullfrog" and it starts out "Would you rather be a dog or would you rather be a cat?" I asked Will what he would rather be and he said "A Transformer" so I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and his reply was the same. I didn't realize he has such high ambitions.

Loud Noises
We discovered that Kate does not like loud noises the other day and we got it on tape. Enjoy!
Marie Paragliding
I got to go paragliding with my Mother-In Law Trudy. It was so much fun! We went up to Jackson Hole and jumped off from the top of a mountain. We called it our girls adventure. Thank you Mom and Dad for taking me! It was an amazing feeling soaring through the air. The tricks we did were really cool and I even got to control the parachute for a little bit. Will and Isabelle enjoyed watching me "fly" and I think Drew was a little nervous.
Harris Family Info
So we finally decided to start a blog. I guess we will just update everyone with what's going on in our lives. Drew is almost done illustrating a series of six science books and will start another picture book once they are done. I am still the busy mother of Will, Isabelle and Kate. Will just started Preschool and Isabelle is really missing him. The first day we dropped him off at school when we got home Isabelle did not want to get out of the car. She said "I want my brother!" It wasn't until 30 minutes later that she decided to get out of the car and have lunch. She is a sweet little girl. This morning the first thing she did when she got up was give me a hug and say "Mommy you are my best friend ever!" Kate is a good baby. She is four months old now and just loves to be the center of attention. She smiles a lot and has a great dimple.
