So I went and got Drew so he could see the bones the cats had found for us. He was looking at them and thought they looked like finger bones so he got on the Internet and found this...

He was pretty sure it was the bones from a hand and wanted to call the cops so I did the next best thing and called my friend Natalie and asked her what to do. (Natalie is a cop's wife and also is really smart) She agreed that their was probably nothing the cops could do other than identify the bones as human or not. I was pretty sure they were not human, so I continued to weed the strawberry patch. 10 minutes later Drew had discovered the bones true owner... A deer or an elk

Mystery Solved!

Wow....I'm relieved to find out that my Grandma didn't kill anyone and bury them in the back. Though, I'm almost as curious how those bones got there.
That's awesome! You never do know what you might find in your garden patch. We've never found anything that cool...but we have found some pretty interesting things. :)
Gee, thanks for the pressure of being known as "smart!" ;) I'm just glad you blogged about it and that I could help in anyway (though it really wasn't much). Awesome pics!
I still think it's a human bone. Or at least the deer choked on a human finger bone and then died.
